i came from 17s with Toyo Teo + which seemed to produce less tyre noise, are the PS3 better for tyre noise ?
or is it expected when going from 17-18s to make more noise ?
Going from 17" to 18" will result in more road noise and make crashing through pot holes more uncomfortable

The PS3's are one of the quieter 18" tyres that you can choose

I have a feeling the fronts wont last me 10k however. but damn they grip well. also in the wet too!
They would need to provide astounding grip if they are not going to last 10k!
    I have 19k on the Michelin PS3 (rear) - lost 1.7mm tread - looking good for 80k
    I have ~10k on the Goodyear Eagle F1 A2 (fronts) - lost 1.4mm tread - looking good for ~50k

The PS3 don't live up to the Michelin wet weather performance I've had in other cars many years ago
But it's hard to say - my car is a pig in the wet, ~210kw and heaps of torque in a heavy FWD wagon, yuck!
(PS3 and F1A2 have very similar wet performance)

Also note that tyre noise has a lot to do with the car, the tyre, the alignment (particularly the rear in the octavia) and the pressure you run them at.

I find the sc3's quieter than my previous tyres, but depending what you've done to your car, you might have different results.

        Yes, fully agree

I find that when I run higher tire pressures I get cabin reveration during decelleration
Anything over 38 PSI will give rise to this issue in my car
Although the trigger point is different per tyre brand/model

            yeah please keep us updated!

hahah ok 10k might be an exaggeration, but they are soft as hell.

one thing I have noticed, I can corner so much faster on them than the factory dunlops. I also thing being a 19" and quite low profile that has helped. but acceleration is pretty similar. they don't let go anywhere near as soon as the dunlops, but I can still manage to spin them up. braking is phenominal.

ohh and in the wet, I barely need to change my driving style. they just...... grip.

Me too. I don't drive far so don't care so much about distance as the rubber will go off before I wear them out. Would I go again? Absolutely. They hang on really well.

good point, I prefer to change tyres around 2 years if they haven't already worn out.

would I go again too? hells yeah!
