Just found these amazing wheels for the 6 GTI, need some advice though!

I have ordered RS6 reps but these are 19x8.5 with an option of either 45 of 35 (also available in plain silver or gunmetal). My calcs say ET45 will have 7mm less clearance on the inside than standard (and 19mm more on the outer), will they still be alright to run without hitting anything?

The BLQs in ET45 will be fine Make sure you lower the sucker considerably

Hopefully you can pull them off.

no no ive bought a golf 6 gti, picking it up tomorrow. they are 5x112.

also, i dont wash my car, i take it to a hand wash place and they do a pretty damn good job with wheels.

I dont like them too much. They might look great on though. I sort of got reminded of ford fairlaine for some reason.. But I could be dead wrong and they look awesome on.

Same as what I thought of these BBS rims I saw in a photo, I thought yuk, but then they looked mad on. Once I see the offset and stance I will make my mind up.

Yeah they are 19's, just look huge because of the stretched tyres and they look like they are a 30 profile.

Just got an e-mail back from Raderwerks saying they're out of 45 offset and only have 35 offset left. They can machine them back to 40 for me but that might mean they won't clear the brakes. What to do?? 35 offset will give me 29mm more on the outer. I'm not lowering the car so maybe 35 offset will be OK?

I'm not sure 5mm will make a great deal of difference to the brakes (ET40 vs ET45) so I'd say you would be fine? I don't think they would offer you that option if it was going to be a problem. That will push the face of the rim out more, so make sure oyu are comfortable with that.

Also to be aware you may rub on a 235/35 tyre, even at standard height because the standard suspension isnt as firm as coilovers etc....so in some cases lowering on coilovers is better
