I would guess your reputable brands, H&R, Eibach, Neuspeed, Koni would do something for your car. You will probably have to import these though.
Locally, if you just want it lowered, I believe Kings/Pedders could make some to fit your car. Obviously not in the same league though...
Look through the mk4 threads and find Bora owners, see what they are running.
I believe you'll find parts for the FWD Mk4 Golf will work fine - the V6 4Motion Bora is different (being more like the AWD R32).
The biggest difference is likely the weight of the V5 engine being slightly higher than the 4-cylinder versions, though the overall effect this has should really be minimal.

I had mine done about a month ago and went for the same setup as DubStarV6 after seeing his setup and him being very happy with the performance - Eibach Pro Kit & Bilstein B8 Shocks
These are the exact same springs I used. They are for the 10v V5, but still suitable for the 20v..other mk4 golf springs should be ok too, but they are made for a different weight so the fronts could go lower than expected

If you want to go lower then the Sportline Kit will get you up to another 10cm, otherwise go coilovers. Evorobin has Hot Tunings for sale for mk4 @ $800 I think, but that may not be what you are after
I sorced them through a friend of mine who at the time was sponsered by eibach. Now the thing is at the time I could only afford to purchase the springs so I am still running standard shocks, I know everyone will think I'm stupid and Insane which I also think I am. I have been saving to either buy matching shocks or toying weather or not to change to coilovers seen as though I don't drive it much these days. But my biggest problem is I have just brought my first home so funds are a bit tight so it may be a little while before I can do anything. Yes it is a very bumpy ride and it dosn't catch right but of I had the money it would be done tommorow. But I love the height that it sits at, it will take most speed humps without bottoming out but I would like to update to a set of 18" or 19" later on just to fill the guards out a little better later on

I have coilovers in mine, with the 18*8 A8 wheels the front doesnt go any lower then what silver dub's is. If you want to go lower you have to watch wheel width and offset. running my stock wheels at the front with coilovers i can put the car on the ground if i like

Hey I just bough a set of Eibach springs, i was wondering if you have any issue fitting your spring with the factory shock and what issue did you come accross after? I know it's crazy doing it this way. but for now i have to do it and i will replace it with new lowered shock. by the way i have 2001 4motion
