      Dom, you're a douche bag!

Don't do it! Your car is low enough, and if you go lower you'll smash the sills and wreck a beautiful chassis!

Do not mess with this car, because if you go ****in around with it, it will reduce the resale value by thousands and thousands!!! IDIOT!

        hey! kiss my ....

seriously, over bumps she doesnt scrape sills or anything, as soon and the front wheels are off the speed hump, the rears are already on the hump... shell be right... nothing wrong with giving it a go.....

lol. yeah, you shouldn't really have many issues with bottoming out on speed humps... your wheelbase is only... what like 2 feet or so?

if these coilovers are rebuildable, i think the idea of getting shorter shocks would be a good idea... i cant begin to imagine your ride quality....

So whats the deal with wanting to go so low???
I cant understand this at all, looks maybe, but I think it looks dumb.
I had my old comp Golf reasonably low but mainly did it by altering the strut tower tops, thus retaining suspension travel. I had to cut and gusset a section on the rhs of the body above where the driveshaft runs as it rubbed initially.
My Mk5 could go lower if I wanted but I would rather ride comfort and handling to looks anyday thanks!!

back on topic, sean and i had a looksie at the rear helper springs, there not squised all the way down, basically there over 3 inches tall, if i remove them itll be lower than my rims!!, front helpers are squished all the way though

You could always remove the helpers and lift the perchs up a bit to compensate..

Don't the helper springs soften the rebound aswell???
