Assistance installing navigation & some questions.

Hi all

Been away for some time, and just waiting to purchase another 2011 vw Passat 3cc.

Who in melbourne can help to install a navication unit for me for a fee of some sort as the car i am getting has an RCD510.

Also can some one explain if there is a diffrence between 08-12 navigation units from diffrent vw models or are they all the same?

I have also seen there is a letter after the model of some units for example RNS 510 C. What does that mean?

The letter indicates the revision of the unit.
There are incremental hardware changes but the basic functionality remains the same.
Newer revisions are faster, particularly the ones with SSD rather than HDD.

So i picked up my passat cc today over all so far its not a bad car however i do need to get an rns510 upgrade from the rcd so if anyone can be of assistance please reach out.
