RCD510 Upgrade - Questions

Hey all,

I currently have a RCD310 head unit installed in my 2013 VW Polo and was thinking about upgrading to a RCD510. I noticed that there are two different units, the RCD 510 and the Bosch RCD 510, however I haven't been able to find much information on exactly what the differences.

Basically all I need is for the controls on the steering wheel to work correctly, the speak in the car and for the MDI connection in the glove box to work.

Any suggestions/links/ideas/what other people have done would be an excellent help. Also if anyone can suggest who the best company is to buy one of these from?

The Bosch unit is the better unit and thus more expensive, for what you seem to want any 1 will do to be honest unless you plan on installing a RVC later on.

Do a search on EBay, local ones as in not from China, from under $300 available depending on the make. Install is easy and straightforward. plug and play really.

Edit: for MDI compatability, the Bosch unit recommended ...... $369 off EBay
