  • Got a bit side tracked today.

Today I miss a class so I can come home early to prepare for an exam next week.
But instead I started fixing my forever lose cluster lights than got even more side track and relocated my Sub controller

In ugly awkard postion, just because there was an OEM hole.

    pulled out the casing

Made a MDF spacer in 10 mins, electric tape cover to hide the MDF and securing with lovely hot glue.

    new location

I think off centre looks more right ???

BUt I think silver is a bit "outstanding" . Would spray paint rub off aluminium plate ?

Great idea Louis! Mine's black so mine will go nicely But it's got a different mounting type. I wouldn't know about your painting query but if you can get it done or even if you want to go rat-styling and cover it with tape or something similar it would clean the interior look right up Good work!

Can you pull the whole face off and re-mount the knob into the OEM plastic plate you have removed?

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

took the words outta my mouth there hawk lol

and if you wanted to you could take off the aluminium plate, cut it nicely square and stick it on the oem plastic plate. it probably wont look so outta place when its square like the plate.

        just an idea

So today.. I persevered with am OEM look and insipration from HAWK. Looked at the manual and realise it was able to be taken apart. So I DID !!

I would say it looks better.

Used the OEM plastic and drilled 2 holes.

The LED was Way too bright for my liking. So I dimed it. HOt glue gun and liquard paper.

The face was suppose to go on but becasue of the curvature of the plastic, it looked really ODD. THe aluminium was all scratched anyways.. WInWIN
