I haven't had this problem. Try turning off auto zoom and setting a good size image with the map settings. This should be able to be done on the normal controls without vcds.

I never have Autozoom on, so I don't think it's related to that feature. Whether set by the screen, or by the knob the scale changes upwards at the next start.

+ one for this annoying glitch and its def since FW upgrade to 4120. Mine is an older c vers so I dont have the abilty to turn the dial and and change zoom it has to be done manually on the touch screen and its freakin annoying!

Ok, just went through the adaptation channels, coding and all setup/test mode options, there doesn't appear to be anything that would control this.

Anyone want to be a guinea pig and try an upgrade to 5238 to see if it corrects it? I am on 5238 now but I have not ever seen these reported symptoms on any level of firmware from 26xx to 5238, with everything in between on my unit....

Im with you, have just been for a drive and set the zoom at 25m and when i stopped to go shopping and restarted it was still on 25m.

However when on auto zoom it has started on different ratios to what it was on when turned off.

Could it be that it defaults to a certain zoom level when on Auto.????????

I've got a Skoda Columbus 3T0035680B, which I'm sure equates to a RNS 510 C model. I've always been able to adjust the map scale via the right hand radio button/dial.

Mine is a C which has been upgraded and the dial works Some you have to push in and turn.

It mostly goes up in 2X increments at each start up (75 to 150 to 300 etc). And then there's that infrequent, but mysterious radio station changing. Has to be a FW thing, but beyond me to be able to prove it.

Edit: I only found out recently that if I push the right hand knob while nav guidance is on "she" will repeat the last instruction. Any other time I push it "she" says, "The guidance system is inactive".

My bad I looked back over my firmware and build date etc and mine was a "B" version which I have upgraded to 4120 so hence no right hand button zoom functionality and no auto zoom. Not sure I'm game to go any further with firmware as even 4120 was pushing it.
