well finally pulled my finger out the other weekend and dropped in for a look..
impressed with the features etc so have decided to buy one.
missed out on the last shipment but been told the next one is due in the first week of august.
This upgraded model has no beeps on button pushes and has a different operating system so that you can load tomtom maps onto it.

does anyone know??
can you connect an ipod through the usb port on the front of the unit?
and how much memory on the sd card does the maps take up?

I too am interested in this product, but am a little concerned that phone messages and email enquiries to the supplier are not responded to. I have had similar experiences with other suppliers which led to a breakdown in their service and eventually I am left with a product that is defunct.
Pricing appears to be good, but that is useless if you are unable to get ongoing support.

The dealer is overseas at the moment and wont be back till mid august. The next batch are coming with Tom Tom fitted I have been told.
The Ipod shuffle of mine plugs into the usb port in the front and the earlier version ipod plug, I have in the glove box.
I have at least 3 on order at the moment for some of my customers. Over 12 cmore interested!
I reckon they are a great thing and no, I dont suffer from any beeps!!!

All the steering buttons work. volume, mute, and the phone button changes to different modes

Everything works as before. The reverse camera works when you select reverse, even with the set turned off too.
I have no minuses with the unit!

Big man, the early units had "route 66" GPS programs but it was easy to download the Tom Tom onto a card and use that.
the new versions will come with the Tom Tom program.
I wasnt overly impressed with the route 66 GPS.

Availability

Wonder what the availability is going to be this month. Have sent a few emails but got nothing in reply, think someone said the guy was OS at the moment, good business practice to at least have someone respond to emails, even if it is an 'Out of office" auto responce.

Anyway, once they become available I will be grabbing one too
