RNS 510 Gateway

Dear All,
lately i bought a passat TDI of 2007, however my passat contain RNS 300 and i want to do update to the RNS 510,
can someone tell me how to know which Gateway ( Can bus) does my passat have to buy the correct RNS version ( A,B,C)

You will need to check the actual gateway version using VCDS to query the gateway.
Or physically inspect the gateway to find the part number/revision.
