  • aftermarket parking sensors and rns510

    Hi guys

I have a polo fitted with after market parking sensors and thinking of getting a rns510 from JKU and install it. Has anyone done that before and worked perfectly fine? I don't need the sensors and rns510 to be intergrated, i just want them to work.

    thanks

Unless the aftermarket sensors are also connected to a parktronic controller then they won't integrate with the RNS to provide you a radar image on the screen. However installing the RNS will not change an existing audible parking sensor setup.

Hello, I'm actually hoping to get the sensors to integrate with RNS. Would you mind helping out as to how to connect it to the parktronic of a polo my13.5? Cheers

You'd need to buy the genuine OPC parking sensor kit, and retro-fit it.

Aftermarket park sensors are just powered up off the reverse light, and that's pretty much it. They don't, and usually can't integrate into other systems of the car.
