Auto-Polar FIS+ Advanced - Complete Guide
Post #2 in this thread is Aaron's (The_Hawk) write-up of installing an AutoPolar in his Mk6 cabriolet.Originally posted by tigger73 View PostI don't think there is a cabriolet with an AutoPolar installed in Australia - mainly because there's not that many cabriolets!

I am almost certain if you have full height MFD this will work.
It works in both Mk5&6 Golfs with either red/white/colour MFD though must be full height. I don't believe there will be a major change in the electrics for the cabriolet so it should work the same.
If you want to be 100% sure, you can post a VCDS auto-scan on the Auto-Polar forum and the developers can determine from the hardware you have installed if it is compatible or not with your vehicle.

Yeah the gear selector screen probably wouldn't be a bad idea.
Though as soon as you change the display set-up it means more configuration. Obviously the large display format can be done as per the current speed display in the "normal" MFD.
We'll have to wait and see.

Ok. I saw someone made a good suggestion on a split screen - a way to have a large number (selected gear) and two smaller, all on same screen.

No they keep me in the dark too.Originally posted by boltor View PostDamien - any advance warning from Autopolar on new functionality? Seems like mostly compatibility / bug fix at the moment...
Thanks
Generally it goes 1) bug fix 2) product enhancement 3) new product R&D
We've only been getting minor revisions to date 0.3.x -> 0.3.x+1
I'm not sure what is coming in 0.4.0 but something tells me it might be HUGE!!!

Yes I usually do update as the firmware gets released - mainly so that if there are any issues I find out about them first!Originally posted by zei20t View Postsilly question, but have you updated to the latest firmware?
0.3.8 seems fine. There's not a heap of improvements in it for existing users - most to do with Italian language parameter descriptions and AD-Blue filling if you're running a diesel.
Here's details anyway:
***** Improvements / Update description for RED cluster *****
[+] Solved issue that causes Enabling of RNS510 hidden menu not available in some units
[+] Added support for 3C8-035-730-C BT unit in BT emulation and minor improvements
[+] Added support for RNS310/315 and Bolero units in Climatronic and Parktronic Emulation
[+] Solved issues with Parktronic emulation in some non-Skoda vehicles
[+] Added support for more than 400 new TP Engine ECUS
[+] Added new parameter AD-Blue filling
[+] Improved italian text translations
***** Improvements / Update description for WHITE and COLOR cluster *****
