Very easy install.
Buy the kit from forum sponsor JKU, or carsystems.pl and it has the right wiring harness included.

Alternatively you can get a Dension BT gateway which has MDI type functionality thrown in for less than the 9w7..

All those BT modules listed in above post should install themselves into the canbus gateway installation list automagically.
In some instances some coding is required to gain full functionality, but basic functionality will just work.

Hey did anyone solve the Bluetooth auto play in the RNS510 because I have to press play on my iphone each time I get in the car, so annoying, previously in the polo it would auto play as soon as the car is on.

PS I haven't found the auto Bluetooth option either?

Isn't there a autoplay tickbox in the settings in RNS510 with fw 4120?

it is the rns510 - known as the "columbus" in the skoda.
its just got a different faceplate. the rest is exactly the same.

Ahhh ok well I just looked and I actually do have this option but it was already ticked. Still it never auto plays I have to manually press play again or I have to pause and play again for it start.


Anyone have any idea why it won't auto play?

Got some problems with my partners car..
2012 Polo GTI (6R).
We have a bury 9 cradle for her Samsung Galaxy S3 phone.
Had the cradle reprogrammed via VCDS so we can still use the phone whilst charging.

It had been working all good for about 6 months or so..

All of a sudden these days when I talk to her on the phone, the bluetooth switches back to her phone randomly.
She then has to tap headset off (on the phone) and then back on.

Anyone else experience anything like this?

Phone Names

Not sure if any one has asked this before but is it possible to change the format of the phone names in the phone directory ie. first name first then surname.
i have a amarok with the RCD510 headunit, any help is appreciated

On mine, RNS510 mind, but should be similar, go to phone on the MFD, phone book settings, and the option is in there to sort by First then last name. Sorry, can't remember exactly, as the car is tucked away for the night.
