Make sure you take a copy of the coding first, then you can try and add the missing byte to the RNS510:
Add 2 zeros to the end of the coding (not in long coding) and click 'Do It!' Ignore warning.
Do a reset to the unit with < > and *
Go back into the coding and apply full coding with bit set for BAP.
Reset the RNS again.2011 Skoda Octavia vRS TDI DSG wagon|Revo Stage 1|Race Blue|Leather|Dynamic Xenons w 6000K|9w7 BT|THA475 Amp+active sub|Whiteline ALK|RVC|

The telephone buttons still do not work. The coding is as per the instruction manual for the unit.Last edited by DragonzBreath; 23-09-2012, 03:42 PM.

Can't actually compare coding directly with my Golf as it has a 3rd party nav unit with BT integrated.
However as you have most other functions working my guess would be that your address 77 Telephone coding may not be 100% correct.
Failing that raise a ticket with Rosstech. They are very helpful.Last edited by kamold; 23-09-2012, 08:19 PM.2011 Skoda Octavia vRS TDI DSG wagon|Revo Stage 1|Race Blue|Leather|Dynamic Xenons w 6000K|9w7 BT|THA475 Amp+active sub|Whiteline ALK|RVC|

Airbag fault
Hi, re your airbag fault. I had a side airbag fault in my B6 Passat and I did a lot of research before I took it to VW for a big$ fix. A very common problem is the connections under the front seats. The recommended fix is to cut the plug out and solder the wires together removing the problematic yellow plug from the system. I took the passenger seat out and what do you think I found? The yellow plug was dissconnected. I pluged it back in, cleared the code, rescanned, and no more airbag fault. Befoe you do anything else, I would undo the seat bolts and tip the seats back so you can get to the yellow airbag plug. Try the passenger one first. If the plug is connected securely, unplug it and spray it with some CRC CO Contact Cleaner. Give it a few minutes to dry then plug it back in and clear the code and rescan. If it comes up again, do the same with the driver's side. This may not fix your problem, but from the research I have done, about 80% of Airbag faults are triggered from these underseat plugs. Apparently they get moisture in them and start to corrode. Good luck mate. Cheers.MY 13 Golf R. APR Stage 1. +DSG software upgrade.

Bambazonke, are you able to answer phone calls with the buttons on your steering wheel? I'll have to see if mine now work...[/QUOTE]
Yes I am able answer and terminate calls via the telephone button the steering wheel. I also think I can reject a call by holding it down for 2 secs or more but I have yet to test itMY 21 T Cross 85TSI Life| Makena Turquoise | Driver Assist Package |

Steering wheel phone button not working
Hi DragonzBreath,
I suspect that your premium Bluetooth may not be compatible with your MFSW (Multi Function Steering Wheel) module. The older 8 button steering wheel modules uses LIN 1.3 rather than 2.0 which the newer MFSW uses. I have the same problem. I have a 3CO 953 549 AC steering wheel which uses LIN 1.3 but the 9w7 bluetooth unit I installed needs 2.0 for the phone button to work. If I had an AH or AK 8 button, I wouldn't have the problem as they use LIN 2.0. My only option is to possibly change the MFSW module but that could create other issues I believe. At the moment I have phone on the RNS HU and on the MFD and Voice control, volume etc on the steering wheel. Just not the phone button. For the time being, I,m not going to worry about changing the module. I'll add the link to a MFSW module compatibility list. Find out which SW you have and check it on the list. I suspect it will be 1.3 not 2.0. Cheers.

Thanks for that, I actually upgraded my steering wheel, but the steering wheel I got was from a newer model GTI, which had a highline dash and the buttons were different. So I swapped them out with the buttons from my original wheel (sorry forgot to mention that).
The MFSW part number for my car is 1K0 953 549 B, which is indeed LIN1.3
The Bluetooth device is I believe a standard bluetooth kit (1K0 051 437 A), rather than a premium one. Although I wouldn't mind upgrading. Because I've already got the wiring in place, is it as simple as purchasing a new bluetooth module, swapping it out and recoding? Or does the premium module have a different connector?
Thanks again.
P.S. I ALWAYS have to do 'Image Verification' every time I post, is this normal? It's annoying.Last edited by DragonzBreath; 04-10-2012, 12:12 AM.

Thanks Bambazonke. From what I've seen bluetooth units in most Golf's are installed under the seat. Mine is in behind the head unit. I don't suppose that will be a problem?
Also, I contacted RossTech a few days ago with my phone buttons problem on the steering wheel, I'm yet to get a response. Are they usually quick with their responses?

So I got a response from Rosstech today...

On that note, please realize this unit does not support voice
recognition or PTT so the only function of that button is for answering
calls that are ringing already -or- to hang an existing call up. If you
were looking for functions when the phone and radio are not in use, that
operation would not be supported with this particular system. Although
this is quite old, the functions are covered in this thread:

G179 is a crash sensor mounted inside the driver's side door and
was never related to the driver and passenger side bag igniter fault
repairs under the seat. Due to the Open or Short to Plus description
that sensor may be internally faulty -or- the wiring to it may be
faulty. The early Mk5 models in the US market were known for breaking
wires off at the door pivot points so check the wiring per the wiring
diagram to/from the sensor not only inside the door but at the moving
harness section as well.

Here's the fix:
Note! Skoda owners
Extract files PQTABLE and SKTABLE from image (use magiciso or ultraiso). Files can be found from path: \VUCI\B101\RNSMIDEC\PROG
Switch the filenames by just renaming SKTABLE to PQTABLE and vice versa
Overwrite the renamed files back to image and save the image. Burn this image to DVD or CD.
Load or reload the Firmware to your RNS-510 using the steps below.
