Version P is designed to work with cars produced from April 2013 with upgraded CAN.
VW would fit version H in your car hence our recommendation for this particular version.
With version P VW is pulling out of voice control as its not working up to benchmark at the moment.
Paramatta can install the unit for you at $200+GST - will provide the details after the purchase.
RCD you are looking 200-350 - the bad thing about it is that it has no RVC connection

Hi there, pretty keen on getting an RNS 510 and RVC for my MY13 Golf R... I noted that there's also RNS 510 P listed on your website, what's the difference between the P and the H?

Also could you forward me the details for the North Parramatta installer to get a quote?

Does anyone know what the existing head unit (I think it's the RCD 510?) is worth?

The only thing missing is the radio but its on its way to us anyway.

After attempting to upgrade to FW4120, I managed to "lock" my RNS510 "C". Rebooting did not work and I thought I had bricked it. One RNS510 for the bin.

I contacted Audi Upgrades and Martin was able to rescue it for me for a very reasonable fee. I can highly recommend him to anyone who either needs RNS repairs or a new unit. Thanks Martin.

Generally speaking to everyone, be very careful upgrading RNS 510:
1. iTs not covered by warranty
2. VW does not make HDD partition for no reason and will void your warranty on the unit once they find out
3. if you dont have genuine DVD its never 100% safe

People do it and will do it but the differences between SW are minimal and many times you will find that the HW on the unit works best and fastest with the SW on it. Not every HW is compatible with SW etc.
We repair majority of these units after updates but there are units which are beyond economical repair as chip has had it after you change the partition to 90 5 5. Its overheating and does not have enough memory to run properly.
