Does the gps sd card slot support fat32? The card I had working was 2gb fat. I temporarily deleted that to copy the FW updates to test another card. Now it won't update from and card I try and I can't browse for gps path anymore. Looks like the reader is shot.
The slot does support a card formatted to FAT32 but to update the firmware you need a card formatted to FAT.
Your doing well to get emails back from AS, they are ignoring me now they have my money.
Just noticed a couple of odd things on my ANS-610.
I have the latest firmware applied.
First, I have had it switch off without me doing anything at all. It does not happen when running, but after I have stopped it and then restarted. I have to manually start the unit by pressing the on/off button. About the only difference being that I am in Bendigo and the temperature is a lot lower than in Sydney where I normally am.
The second is that if I let a call go through to voicemail, the navigation sounds turn off and I have to re-select the voice to get audio navigation and alert messages. What happened this time was I had the ignition in the off position but the key in the switch so the ANS-610 was on. While I was checking tyre pressures at a service station I heard the phone ring in the car, but I decided not to answer and let it go through to voicemail. When I restarted, there were no navigation or other sounds at all. Even the radio had to be selected again.
Hey guys, I've got an ANS-510 running M136 (I think)... when I go into reverse, I get the image of the car, and I can hear the beeps as usual, but I never see the proximity displayed on the screen? Do I need to recode the car (with VCDS) to support this?

.
You shouldn't need to re-code the car but your car has to support the visual parking control.
Did you have it on your oem head unit? As I think for it to work you need the correct parking sensor control module which was fitted to later cars.
Since updating to M140 I have had a couple of canbus issues. I realised the steering wheel buttons were not working anymore. I went into the hidden menu and changed the can bus module from can-s to can-v. Now I have working volume and mute buttons but the right hand set isnt recognised. ie. input select / track change.
Any one had the same?

I have a ANS-620 navi HU in fitted my 2008 pre-facelift Skoda Octavia VRS CR170 a good while back and later a Maxidot retrofitted, too.
When going from the MFD to the Audio menu, the Maxidot completely locks itself to said menu, and cannot be changed without either fuse removal, or battery disconnection. I'm pretty sure this isn't normal, and no amount/combination of button presses unlocks it.
Hmm, whilst skimming this thread, which seems to have a lot of information about these units, and there seems to be a hidden menu with various CANBUS options.
Listed are: CAN-S, CAN-V, CAN-X and CAN-M (which is the current selected option).
With previous VCDS scans, I've always had the following CAN gateway error listed (since the HU was fitted). Could this be due to the wrong CAN setting in the HU? Errors are gone with the OEM HU installed.

Or could it be an issue with the firmware? This is what I get when I touch the screen on the mid-far left in the AUX IN menu:
No
Some steering wheels have the volume controls duplicated there etc. If they stop working the can bus is not getting there.
Also some head units get that or similar code as they dont get recognised as an VW unit thru the canbus. If it works leave it alone

I hope this is the right area, but I have a question on iGo Primo on these units.
When you enter an address to find, it comes back with a route, and then depending on the route, you will see a number in brackets on the Go button.
I assume that if it is say "Go (6)", it would mean that there are 6 alternative routes. That being the case, how do you bring up those alternative routes and pick from them?

I thought it was some kind of countdown timer? What happens if you press it?

I do not believe it is a countdown timer as the number varies depending on the destination. As for pressing it, you have to to get the navigation to start.
