  • If memory servers M136 had bugs in it and people reported all sorts of issues with it... M140 is latest I know of and def works well..

Email Audiosources and ask for a copy of the firmware, if not message DKN (sandy) on here and he may send it to you as you only recently purchased it...

Audiosources have decided to ignore my emails, hardly surprising considering how shockingly bad their sales staff are!

Sandy on the other hand has been more than helpful and has provided me with the M140 firmware.

The unit seems to crash less but the media button only works if there is an SD card inserted, which I am told is the way it should be.

      • All of a sudden, I seem to have lost all navigation sounds on my ANS-610. I have gone through all the settings but no luck. I have the radio and reversing sensors working with the normal quirks, but no navigation sounds at all. I've switched the unit off and then back on, but no luck.

        Any pointers?

        Thanks.

        • Have you tried holding down the Navi button or pressing the button next to eject?

Failing that check the sound is enabled in igo via the menu and sound option.

I have tried the button next to eject. In the past, particularly after an update, the sound would be lost, but pressing that seemed to fix it. When I press it, it tells me "navigation sounds on" or "navigation sounds off". I make sure it is On, although it may be telling me that I need to press it to turn on!

I've gone through all the menus and made sure nothing is muted.

I have not pressed and held the Navi button, so will give it a try.

            • Well, I thought I'd let you know what happened.

I went through every screen and changed every volume setting, but nothing would work. So I thought I'd switch announcers. I selected Lee to replace Karen, but still no luck. I then decided to switch back to Karen and the sound started back again. It was very loud, but have now managed to get that settled as well.

So it looks like Karen and Lee were up to no good

At least I get my warnings back.

                • I have a DNS-710 (I think) that I got from Sandy about 6 or so months ago. Love the unit.

Just wondering how I go about getting the latest firmware? I want to be able to display the radio stations names on my Mk5 Golf GTI display as well as the radio receiver.

Any ideas where I get the firmware?

                  • Hello DKN, you can put 2 cameras at the ANS a rear and a front and that platform 2 at the same time ?

                    • I am having real problems with my ANS510 crashing, it only seems to happen if it is colder outside. If the outside temperature is under 10C it will reboot and mute the front speakers as if the gps is going to say something and display the boot logo.

After it has crashed the screen displays the splash screen and not the source you are currently on although the audio is still there.

You have to switch to another source then back to get the display back again. If it is cold and you try to load GPS it will crash before it has finished loading and it's impossible to load GPS until the cabin has warmed up.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?

                      • First thing I would "guess" is a poor connection somewhere, either in the unit (soldered joint) or a connector internally.
Second would be is the car battery "low"?
If you run the car for a few minutes then turn it on is it ok?

Running the car makes no difference and it's not voltage related.

It only does it based on temperature, if it's 15C outside it works without an issue.

                          • Thats why I suggested a solder joint or connector.

I'm guessing finding the bad joint is going to be near impossible too

                              • I'm beginning to think this is too good to be true. Shortly after getting the unit I complained that the Bluetooth mic is no good and have been playing email tennis with AS since. They want me to have it repaired locally at my cost! They asked me to take it apart to check the wiring and replace the mic

ive been in contact with Sandy and was trying to update to M140. It won't read 3 of the cards I tried. Now the gps sd card slot won't read my navi card. It's a cracking device but you are on your own a little. I can't believe you can recieve a faulty product and be out of pocket.

Does the gps sd card slot support fat32? The card I had working was 2gb fat. I temporarily deleted that to copy the FW updates to test another card. Now it won't update from and card I try and I can't browse for gps path anymore. Looks like the reader is shot.
