Are you using M140 firmware? Since I installed M140 my unit has showed OPS screen also with navigation running.

I have today installed my ans810, purchased direct from audiosources, into my 2010 EOS.
Did you manage to pay using Paypal?

I still haven't got a response back from audiosources regarding payment.

I have installed the M140 firmware, and mine did for the first few days, then it went back to only displaying it with the radio selected only. Occasionally I get the reversing camera guides, even though I have no reversing camera, and I have tried both firmware versions.

Yes I did pay by PayPal, they added 18ish dollars for the privilege. I have been dealing with Elina. They despatched on Monday and I received it on Thursday by DHL

Do you have an email address for Elina? As I've got no response what so ever from Lisa.

Thats odd. I have been using M140 D1 (wrong one for my unit but the one that works...) for 2 weeks and OPS works just fine.

                • had some contact with Sandy today. I'm running M136 on an 810 and apart from some minor SD card troubles it's faultless. I've however had complaints that the MIC on the Bluetooth is poor quality, low volume and like I'm in a tunnel. I'm using an iPhone 5s and have tried other phones and it's the same. It's ok if I get up close or talk loudly. Has anyone noticed any BT improvements in the M140 firmware?

                  • Really need your help please.

                    Hello everyone!

First of all, I want to introduce myself since I'm newbie here.
So my name is Itay and I'm from Israel.
I bought my 2008 VW Jetta MKV before month ago.
And bought the ANS-610 directly from Audiosources.

The unit is arrived to me very fast and it looks great.
But I have few problems with this unit after I installed it yesterday.

The 1st problem is that the unit doesn't turn off automaticlly (when the key is out of the ignition) like the OEM radio.
The 2nd problem is that the unit doesn't light up at all, no matter what I tried (the OEM radio lights up when I switch the lights from the light control)
and the 3rd problem is that the unit doesn't show anything on the screen. not the "Door Cue" not the "A/C" and not "OBD"
And the last problem is that the unit doesn't display the rear view of my back camera when I put in reverse gear.

Any help with this issues will be great, I know that most of the members in this forum does know one thing or more about this unit, so I thought this is the right place to asking for help.

Waiting to hear from you all (who met this issues and know how to deal with them)

                    With regards,
                    Itay.

                          Hi Itay,

I guess the wiring in 2008 Jetta is different to what newer models and Audiosources uses, because your problems 1 and 2 are very likely about incorrect wiring.

Problem 3 is not a problem but a feature of your car. As far as I know 2008 VWs did not have these features - at least not the ones with red multifunction display (I used to have a 2008 Touran). The OBD does not really work on any car.

The camera is also most likely wired wrong but I cant help you there as I have no experience on rear view cameras.

Not much I guess. I had T0 firmware originally but I am using D1 now.

I am not 100% sure but I would say that there is no charging function in the ipod connection.

                            • ANS 810 upgraded to RCD 310!

Well I've soldiered on with the ANS 810 for over 18 months and finally got fed up and reverted back to my RCD310.
I've still got the upgraded front speakers but have lost the sub for the moment, but frankly can't tell much of a difference except in losing a bottom octave and that joyful 'kidney punch' of a good sub.

I've regained iPod functionality with MFD integration which is a real joy.
No longer does my iPod play from track one every time.
And it charges my iPod which the ANS had stopped doing a long time ago.
I've regained decent BT phone calls with MFD integration.
                              I've regained BT audio streaming.
I've regained instant audio on instead of waiting 30 secs.

I've lost navigation but my phone does that for me with TomTom, albeit on a smaller screen which is a loss I admit.
I've lost reverse cam, but was pretty good at reversing anyway.

So all in all, I don't feel like I've lost much in the downgrade and have regained plenty.
In hindsight, the ANS was a bad choice, but you only get what you pay for, which is to say.....not a lot!
If anyone one else is looking to upgrade their RCD310, I would recommend getting an iPad Mini and TomTom and a decent HoldMyPhone mount. Money better spent.
Tiguan MY12 118TSI, white, no frills..... Had ANS810 ... Note the HAD ..... Now got RCD510 supplemented by 7" Android TomTom mounted on a HoldMyPhone .... Upgraded speakers Vibe BlackAir front splits and MBQuartz 12" ported sub driven from Infinity Reference 5350a amp .... oh and added fun

                              • I have just got my ANS510 direct from audiosources and am having a couple of issues with it.

Pressing the Media button gives a confirmation beep but does nothing and the unit keeps crashing and needs turning off before it will work again.

From looking at the firmware on my device it doesn't seem like it has the latest version.

Will the M140 fix the issues I am having with my unit?
