Hi,
my ANS-420 is asking me to select a file path or something like that when I select the satnav function. I press ok and it takes me to Primo2 folder and I select that then it brings up a heap of subfolders. Wondering which one I should choose and then finally which file.

It is not in the sub-folders. It is at the bottom of the root. You have to scroll to it. You will have some "fun".

Basically, you need to scroll down to find the primo.exe file. There are no scroll bars. You have to use your finger to "drag" the list upwards. Unfortunately, until you get the hang of it, you will end up in other folders and have to try again. Try and pick where there is nothing (easier said than done) and then drag your finger (while pressing on the screen) up the screen. Usually one drag should be enough, but you might have to do it again. Then pick the primo.exe file and all should be OK.

So next issue - since the last CPU update every time I put the car in reverse it automatically goes to a reverse camera screen and kills the tunes. Only issue is I don't have a bloody camera I've done all the previous updates and it's never done this before.

So tried reloading the previous update to get rid of it and it won't accept it. Can't remember exactly what screen it is but it's the one that comes up twice in the update procedure only the second time the text is meant to be in Chinese and you just hit yes. Sorry for the vagueness.

So can the camera function be turned off or should I just wait for the next update and see if that loads and fixes things?

I don't have a camera either, but I don't get the guide lines. I end up without even the Optical Parking System unless I manually switch it out of navigation. Then I can see which sensors are triggering. Not really an issue once U worked out what to do.

Sorry I can't help with the camera issue.

I had the same problem with my ANS 610 and Sandy gave me an MCU update and the problem was solved. I think he will be back tomorrow.

You can try turn it off from the secret menu (didn't work for me)

Thanks very much rivol!! I'll give it a shot tonight. You guys seem pretty knowledgeable about these things so one more question - When I first got the unit right up to the last update when I went into display colour it flashed the word blue for a second before you got the choices red and green. But when I quickly hit it while it was still showing blue nothing happened - Moral is I WANT BLUE TO MATCH MY DASH

Any thoughts or secret menus I can try??

I'm just about ready to throw the ****ty generic chinese headunit in my new car out the window. It's horrible. Especially after using the VXMMI in my old car for years, that thing was lightyears ahead of the generic chinese ones, and the ANS/DNS looks way better than my old VXMMI....

Seems some of you have the reverse OPS issue - please do READ every update I send out and not just download the files even if you have done it plenty of times before - If anything changes or new information comes up I put them in the update emails. Check the last (or the one before that) update email I sent, I explained that you have to flash a different MCU file if you do not have factory OPS / reverse camera.

If you can't find that info, drop me a PM and I will give you the link.

Sorry, had to register just to ask a question. I've had this unit for about three months. All of a sudden I get no sound from the GPS Unit. Radio works fine, but I hear no navigation voice or alerts when I am in GPS mode. All of the volumes are on, nothing is muted. Does anyone have any suggestions? Faulty fuse in the unit itself? Something disconnected??

I've factory reset the unit twice and no change.

Any suggestions appreciated.
