when it's toggled on , i approach a turn .. front speakers lose sound and nothing comes from the nav ..
so i have it toggled off for now because its annoying .. would it be that the nav is missing sound files ?
sam
Could be. The igo software does have 'voice' files. You may have more than one choice already in your Navi Settings. If so, try changing voices and see if that makes a difference. I know mine comes with a male and female voice option. I have the igo8 software straight from audiosource.
OK. I ran the ipod interface and still had some issues but was finally able to have it generate proper lists of songs, artists, albums, etc. And, I was able to see the song and album names on the 'play' screen. I turned off the Navi when I ran the ipod interface and it started working then. Not sure if it was a coincidence or somehow this is related.
I did notice a small bug. On the time counter on the music display it is missing the leading zero for the first 10 seconds of each minute (ie, instead of 1:01, 1:02, 1:03, etc it shows 1:1, 1:2, 1:3....). Once it gets to seconds 10-59 it displays properly.

Just discovered, there are card readers, and then there are card readers.
My laptop has a built in SD card reader, however it will NOT read the mapping microSD card. It turns out that not all card readers will read microSDHC cards. Looks like I am going to have to get a USB card reader so that I can update my maps.
I have a 2 GB microSD card, and I can put it in an adaptor and it is read /formatted without issue. I first bought a 4 GB microSDHC card, and it is not even recognised as a "disk". I then discovered that not all card readers will read/recognise a microSDHC card.
Here's some excerpts from the igo Primo pdf manual I downloaded from navitotal.com
Adjusting the Navigation Voice Volume
While the Navigation is on and a route has been programmed, the Navigation will
speak commands. While the Navigation is speaking, adjust the volume by turning
the radio volume knob. The Navigation volume will remain at this level and when
done speaking will return to the previous source (ie, radio) at the volume level set
for that source.
The main volume must be set above zero in order to hear the spoken directions. If
the radio is muted, the Bluetooth engaged in a call, or the volume knob has been
turned to zero, the navigation will not be heard but your visual directions will
continue.
I am not out at my car but from memory there is a settings section under the menu screen. Somewhere in the settings area I found the choice for two different voices. I am now just recalling that there may have been a setting for navigation volume too. Tomorrow I'll investigate when I am out in the car.

Thanks for the heads up on this good info. I have some microSDHC 4gb cards coming in the mail. I have never used my card reader on my computer. Hopefully, it will recognize the microSDHC format.

thanks for that info mate
figured it out after going through a fuse lol
the Yellow wire coming out from the main harness (B+) is meant to run the Remote on an aftermarket Amp ..
as for the Subwoofer .. i used the Sub out for the Positive RCA and Hooked up the Negative to the Negative of the Rear speakers .. seems to be running just fine .. and got it all tuned and running properly ..

There is a subwoofer y adapter to split from the one RCA to two. .Works perfectly and now you have separate sub control on the units. Good stuff.. check eBay!
