Ok so I just got clarification, the 3G is indeed working BUT it needs a different USB port. I'm not sure if newer ANS-810 have this port by default, or if you have to request it, but if you do not currently have this port on your unit then you need to solder one to the motherboard yourself. If anyone is up to this task, I will soon have a picture to show where it needs to be soldered to.

If you reverse park, OPS will be activated. However, once we parked our car and return to "P", the OPS stays on until we press the OPS button manually. Can we request to have them turn off OPS once the gear is returned to "P" position?
I understand that it will go away when we dribe up to 15km/h.. but in this scenario..we have parked our car

1. Engage Reverse gear
2. OPS displays on screen and works fine
3. Finish parking and engage Park gear
4. OPS screen does not go off
5. As long as I do not press the "OPS Button" myself, the OPS screen stays there and I can't power off the unit until I do so
All I want is to be able to shut off the unit even when its in OPS mode then I dont have to press the button all the time after parkingLast edited by jitwei; 19-12-2012, 11:04 PM.

Mine is as per pic . Is it the latest afaik?

The difference between M and V version is the circuit layout of the motherboard. They no longer have V version motherboards as it is old, and this is partly why they are always slower with V version software releases. In fact since their distributors don't normally deal with firmware flashing at all, they generally don't release V version firmware unless I request it (I myself currently have a V unit).
There used to be no other practical differences between the two versions until recently, with the latest software they have enabled fast reverse camera switch so it takes almost no time for the RVC to boot up, but this is not possible in the old V version.
Note if you flash M firmware to a V unit or vice versa you could brick your device.Last edited by DkN; 21-12-2012, 11:55 PM.TR 08 Golf GT TDI, Custom Code Phase 1, Milltek Exhaust, Whiteline RSB + ALK, APR Carbonio Intake

Well, it took 2 weeks to get my shipment (high cost for a slow shipment!) and I did not receive the North America Map! I also did not receive the proper reverse camera for my Jetta Sportwagen (Golf Variant)! Basically, they screwed up my shipment. I am awaiting a response to my email. I am not happy with the poor customer service!
We'll see how well they respond to this error. I'll keep everyone posted. Definitely not worthe the shipping cost with the delay and the incomplete shipment!
Paul.

Also for your car you should use the boot handle type camera which is also used for the Touareg and Tiguan. It's the one that replaces the OEM boot handle mechanism.
They ship almost exclusively through DHL, the delay is probably in producing your unit. Not making excuses for them, but when you order direct from them it's not uncommon to run into misunderstandings and less than ideal customer service. I'd recommend anyone ordering direct to deal with Michael, he's generally easier to deal with and knows a bit more than most of the others (partly due to dealing with me).
Keep in mind though that you are dealing direct with the manufacturer for individual purchases, there's only a certain level of service you can expect for something like this.Last edited by DkN; 22-12-2012, 02:13 PM.TR 08 Golf GT TDI, Custom Code Phase 1, Milltek Exhaust, Whiteline RSB + ALK, APR Carbonio Intake
