You will end up corresponding with one of their sales agent via email; they'll provide cost, shipping..etc. I paid through paypal.

I'll post again tomorrow after the install. A buddy and I are going to install it early tomorrow. And yes, it will fit your car. I also have on 06 Jetta (TDI), manual.
      "ANS610"? Is that a typo?

Nope, it's a model which is available through special order, it's essentially an ANS510 but with a 1" bigger screen.

DkN keeps the very first post in this thread up to date with all the specs and prices. Have a read at the bottom of that post

            • Got and installed my ANS 810 from audiosources.

Unfortunately, there was no navi software on the SD card...Obviously I need to get a version of Primo for it. Are there any guides/tutorials out there for a quick start on what version, and where the files need to go on the card for the ANS 810 to recognize it?

              Thanks

                • I'm also in the process of trying to get some Sat Nav software for my newly installed ANS-810. What size SD card am I looking to buy for the unit?

                  • Mine came with a 4Gb Micro SD card. I ordered an 8Gb with adapter so I could read and write with it in my mac mini: Amazon.com: Kingston 8 GB microSDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card SDC4/8GB: Electronics

The navi unit seems to be either card fine, but I am getting memory exceptions attempting to use the primo 2 software that I could find. There was an iGo8 install on the card that came with it, that eventually ran, but it wouldn't connect to the GPS.

I'm pretty much in a hack around and try things state trying to learn the software in 10-15 minute increments as time allows...

Make sure you have the gps path set, when I first installed my unit it appeared that the sd card that came with the unit had no gps software installed but I manually pointed the gps path to the sd card and then the gps software started working.

                      • Installed my ANS610 yesterday. All went well. Installation took less than an hour. I haven't installed in the reverse camera yet (i didn't want to run the cables to the back yet).

So far i'm very pleased with the product. I'm trying not to look at it as an alternative to the RNS, but more like an upgrade from my plain stock radio.

                        The good stuff:

                        1. I have the dynaudio amp under my driver's seat, and this works just fine. The sound quality from ipod, sc card, usb port is great. The ASP functionality in the set up section is really neat. You can really adjust the sound. (this is in an addition to the TONE button)

                        2. Bluetooth works like a charm (calls and streaming music). Calling out works, and receiving calls works. Folks tell me that i sound pretty good, not as good as using my actual phone, but it definitely good enough. It will download your phone book with numbers and names

                        3. It came with iGO Primo 8, and so far it's pretty sweet. Picks up a signal, and it is very customizable!

                        4. iphone/ipod connection is good is okay. Sound quality is great

                        5. radio reception is great, no AM, but i never use AM so i'm not missing anything. I'll have to see if there is anything i can do to give it a slightly stronger reception though.

                        6. DVD player works great, and the resolution is very nice

Things i'm hoping will be updated soon:

                        1. The unit does not consistently charge my iphone 4. sometimes it charges, and other times i will not charge and i get that message on my phone that says something like 'charging is not support with this unit'

                        2. When using ipod/iphone, you cannot use the music function on your phone; this is normal with a lot of other cars/headunits, but the ANS unit does not display your playlists, nor can you search by playlists, artists, genre..ect. It only lists your songs in alphabetical order, and it always starts in the 'a's. Consequently it is a bit of a pain to scroll down to songs that start with a letter toward the end of the alphabet

-Also, when a song is playing, the user interface only show a partial Track Name. Sometimes it will show the album and artist, but other times is shows 'null'

                        3. I've heard displaying Album cover art is in the works that would be sweet!

                        4. The RNS model has three different color interfaces (http://www.vwgolf.net.au/showthread....comended/page5) - you have to scroll down a bit to see what i'm talking about. This too would be sweet!

                        5. Radio does not display the name of the song or artist, only the radio station channels

                        6. The volume does not fluctuate up and down with the speed of the car like my oem radio (the volume increases as your go faster, and the volume deceases as you reduce your speed)

These are just some the things I noticed. I haven't had time to really play around with it. Overall, im very pleased. Definitely better than my stock radio, and the price was right! And it really is easy to install yourself. No cutting wires, everything plugs right in. The longest part was disassembling the dash, but it's not that bad. I went super slow because i didn't want to scratch up the dash If you take your time, anyone can install this.

                        • On the lack of AM radio, If your two antenna connectors are paired together, then you need

Audi VW Volkswagen Radio Dual Fakra Diversity Antenna Adapter [CT27AA56] - $19.95 : SimpleSoft,, Simple Solutions That Work!

Just using one of the two connections is not enough. You will also need to fit a bullet connector to the power lead to connect to the one that comes with the ANS610.

I went through this. I first tried the standard supplied single lead, and NO AM at all.

I bought an adaptor with two separate leads, and they would not go into the harness connectors. They had to be closer and the keying tabs were offset.

In the end I bought the unit I metioned and it works perfectly.

                          • My install experiences - 2011 Jetta Sportwagen TDI: (I purchased direct from AudioSources since I am in the US)

                            1) You need to connect the blue wires on the back of the unit for the antenna to work at all
                            a) the dual fakra adapter makes the AM reception work, and the FM reception slightly more consistent

                            2) GPS
                            a) make sure to set the path to gps under general settings
                            b) I had to edit my \save\system.ini to set the baud rate of the gps to 9600 to get a GPS lock
                            c) I had to download the updated maps to get the "the application crashed, would you like to reset settings" dialog to go away
                            d) the dimKa skin is far superior to the default one. put it in \content\skin (http://www.igo8mods.com/diMkaWertVRV_1143b.zip)
                            e) How do you set home/work addresses in the diMka skin?

                            3) annoyances / bugs
                            a) the ipod functionality sucks:
                            i) the track and album names are cut off - there's no need to display 'track:' and 'album' before the titles, and the text fields should be a lot longer
ii) no shuffle button? wtf? and navigating to tracks directly takes forever
iii) there is no direct access to the ipod mode - you have to select via the menu
iv) supposedly they are working on updating this...I hope so - its definitely a poor implementation
                            b) Radio shows the wrong preset when you switch to it after starting up in another mode - it always shows preset one as being selected, not what you are tuned to.
                            c) track forward/back should work from the steering wheel controls in the BT music menu. Having to click the touchscreen is annoying.
                            d) glare is a bit of a problem - I ordered an anti-glare ipad screen protector in hopes of fixing this (I plan to cut it down to fit)

                            4) the microSD cards are easy to misplace - and you probably need an adapter to read them in your computer...the good news is that the cards with adapters are under $10 USD off amazon for 8Gb.

                            5) DVD playback is surprisingly nice.

                            6) calibrate the touch panel when you are sitting in the driver's seat - I was annoyed at the lack of sensitivity / position of the touch panel until I did so. (you have to touch the crosses on the screen when they stop, and then press again to exit)

I haven't hooked up the backup camera / subwoofer yet...hopefully that goes better than the couple of days that it took to get the GPS up and configured.

Anyone have sound from their navigation that works? If so, any idea how to fix that?

you need to long press(5 sec) navi key to turn on navi audio audio
