To add a clock.

That would be the biggest overkill I've seen for some time

Can't afford to be snooty with what is essentially a peasants car with extras

The RCD lacking a clock has never been something I've missed, nor has the wife. She always has her iPhone

As suggested a simple stick on LCD clock could be placed by the vanity mirror - should keep her occupied

I too have been trying to get the clock to display on my RCD510 and came to the conclusion that it isn't an available feature on our version. A bit silly if you ask me.

Hi all I also noticed this in my RCD 510 users manual but am unable to activate it in the setup menu cause it ain't there!

I have just installed an OEM basic or dumb RVC into my Tiguan and had a few issues getting the software configured correctly to display the camera image. I have now solved this by activating the option in the long coding in the radio module today.

I did not see any codes to activate this clock option but I did see an option to display a hidden menu much like what you see in the navigation unit and another to show your speed in the radio display I will be investigating this tomorrow while I have the loan of a VCDS cable and will report back if anyone is interested

At least you guys have Radio Text (song and weather info). I know I'd rather have that than another clock.

I never use the RCD for radio

I prefer TuneIn app on my iPhone
