RNS Firmware upgrade to 3xxx

So I shouldn't be so concern then since most of the C ver is doing the same. I thought it was something to do with the maps.
But my car is still behind on the map (maybe 10-20m) even stationary at a junction.

Does this happen to yours as well?

Yep, notice it when going under overpasses on the freeway.

it shouldn't b behind when stationary!!

while moving, yes, bit of a lag, but once stationary its spot on.
then again, i'm still on version 2724 (272x series).

wish it was the otherway - spot on while moving, rather than when stationary!!

Did you have to get the 3810 firmware for the A/B/C models or your used the D version?

I went to Kamold's 39xx modified but it failed halfway through.

I got to to go back to 27xx ok. My unit works but only half of it. It plays radio and SD card but no touchscreen or button illumination, steering controls. Only can see half of the unit in VAGCOM as well. So weird...

I must've grabbed the wrong file last time.

I now have an A unit that thinks it's a D unit. Running FW3810. V4.1 maps (unmodified) with ALL OEM POI's working. MFSW works as well.

Has anyone else noticed any bugs with the RNS510 since upgrading to the new firmware (I'm using kamold's CD):

1. Sometimes when I start the car, the RNS plays Media from the HDD, despite the fact I was listening to FM radio on the last trip.

2. Often when starting the car when previously I was playing Media from the HDD, it will finish playing the current song, then repeat it once, before continuing (Repeat and Mix currently turned off).

Never seen that behaviour but the RNS is a strange beast...try a three finger salute reboot.

Isn't starting the car after 2 hours like rebooting anyway? Will try in any case.

I used the A/B/C version, despite my unit being re-badged as a D unit thru previous FW upgrades.

Still working a treat. VIM is now up and running as well....and with my tint, you can make like Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles if you're standing outside the car. ("I can't see sh*t")
