  • Adding parking senosrs to Tiguan

Has anyone had any experience installing front & rear parking sensors on a current model car, in particular a Tigaun?

I've found someone selling a supposedly genuine front & rear OPS system on ebay for about $450 + $100 to paint them. Ebay item #270645888224.

I'm not too fussed about the optical part, but I'd be keen to get the sensors installed and working, just don't know if I should be scared of pulling off my bumpers and drilling holes in them & getting all the wiring right...& dealer wants $800 just for the rear supply & fit.

Or any recommendations on someone good in Sydney to intall them?

I fitted rear to my Tig for less than $300 fitted.

Found OEM rear ones (don't need to be painted either as they go onto the plastic bumper) for $120 and got Jmac to install it. Works well, so it can be done.
