Buying Headunits from overseas

Hey guys just looking into some new head units and I am wondering if there is any problems buying them from the States I mean do they use same FM frequencies etc?

Hey guys just looking into some new head units and I am wondering if there is any problems buying them from the States I mean do they use same FM frequencies etc?

I would be looking at getting some from Europe as i know the current VW systems differ for the US market and may not allow coding for the australian market.

What car is it for and what system are you looking at?

just looking at replacing my alpine unit with a newer one mate. I have a 9n2 Polo GTI and have all the adaptors in place etc already its just that I want ipod controls and bluetooth
