  • GPS, audio and windows XP

I'm currently looking for GPS, audio unit in our new Tiguan and came across this one.
Wholesale-Tiguan car dvd with GPS it has windows XP and 160Gb hard drive.

Any thoughts or experience with the unit above, or alternatives in the similar price range? I'm not much onto the music, I'm more after blue tooth functionality, reversing camera and good GPS that is easy maps upgrade.
    Performance Tunes from $850
    Wrecking RS OCTAVIA 2 Link

There's a accident waiting to happen...

Concept isn't too bad, but it does look a bit cheap, plus it doesn't mention what the GPS software it runs actually is? There's a screenshot in Chinese on there, but it looks like a Googlemaps ripoff. You could potentially end up using a web based app for that, which means you need a permanent 3G connection (and that isn't free).

Still, it does offer "weather prediction"

Agree with pepe, this is an accident waiting to happen, Transporter.

1 issue with all aftermarket GPS screens that fit the Tiguan is the angle at which it sits. This means it catches direct sunlight very easily on the screen and blinds the screen to unuseability. The only screen that works really well (as its designed to prevent it) is the RNS510 OEM screen ..... (look at me pusing OEM on you )

OEM RNS510's can be had off ebay for less than $1300 including shipment and works brilliantly. Add a bluetooth kit to it and you're looking at $1600 all up with complete peace of mind......

        I got my RNS510 for $1150 landed

The zenec xe-nc2010 unit which we apparently have a working map solution for now integrates with teh car in teh same way as the OEM unit's but includes bluetooth and MDI and divx playback.

I sent them email, asking what maps does it come with, if any? Will see.
I'm considering RNS510 as well. Car is my wife's daily drive to work, shopping and when we go out and away, so I'm not in any rush (I have till December).
