Double Din Password problem!!!

Hey guys I have a slight issue on my hands, the double din player that has been installed on my car has reset itself and is asking for a password, now I have no manual/box set for this deck as it was installed on the car by a different owner, I take it is a Chinese knock off, I ripped the whole thing out in hope there would be markings on the back (model number/branding) and to my disappointment it was blank I have attached a pic of the deck in a desperate attempt that someone may recognize it and shed some light or im heading down the RNS510 path!!

Hmm, good luck with that. Have you tried guessing? 0000, 5555, 1234, etc.

I would wait a while a hopefully someone will have a idea. I wouldn't guess at the code as it risks locking the unit completely or until you have exhausted all other avenues to find the code. See if you can work out the manufacturer from the model number etc on the back and try to contact them.Good luck. or try contacting the previous owner.

yes i have tried guessing, no luck at all Impossible to contact the previous owner he is overseas. I wish there was a model number, the unit is blank (front/back) from all markings..

Try taking the covers off to see the guts of this thing. With a bit of luck and investigation, you might just identify some markings pointing you to the right manufacturer.

I know my unit asks you to set the password when you install it (Pioneer) otherwise it will be a factory code which may (or may not) be unquie, either way you would have to know what model it is. I think it's time to pull it out and see if take photo's of all sides/numbers so they can be checked. You'd hate to not write down the one number you need to know

yeh might take it out for a second time and gut the bloody thing, i have a rns510 on standby for $1100 as my worse case scenario
