But anyway, I may not get it. Think I want the Golf Mark 7 in 2012, so 5 or 6 grand on a car for three years is a bit of a waste, well I suppose you could then reinstall in the next car but...
As far as I'm a where a standard Golf doesn't come with a power amp and you'll find that the doors do have sound deadening in them from factory. "Excite" maybe there entry level speaker, but you'll find they are better than other systems. As for having no sub, wouldn't take much to get one put in. Cheaper than $6k.

The factory amp isn't anywhere near as good as proper ones based on the MK5 golf amp.

Also most people upgrading their mk6/passat didn't want to wait or missed out on the factory option. The factory dyn system is meant to be quite reasonable (ie better than Bose & Harmon Kardon), but still needs more bass. Adding a sub and amp would top it off nicely.

Have to admit, I'm tempted, but I'll just make sure the dealer fixes my sports mode first. A new mechatronics unit is being installed next month.

I saw a red MK6 GTI at NF when i drove past last Saturday, couldnt be bothered starting a spotted thread.

The Arc Amps, Dyns and Image Dynamic subs work great together but they should have some DLS speakers in there soon which are a bit cheaper.

The dyns are great but like more power than your typical speakers which is why i kept adding more power.

At least you know they fit and aren't too bright with the tweeters in the sails (like Focals may be etc) but they are fairly laid back.

Ah, was the red MK6 a 3 door with personalised plates? Was the driver good looking and had red hair?

Believe me I do like the Dyn balance. That's why I have 4 pairs of them at home.

Dyns are amazing. I got a floor stock demo pair of contour s3.4's and a contour scx for the bargain basement price of $11k all up(retail was $15k). People think I'm insane when I tell them how much I paid until they listen to them. Words alone can not describe the silky smooth sound and depth that eminates from these babies.

Can't imagine the car stuff would be anywhere near as good. A lot of the technology behind the floor standers lies in the damped metal baffle that the drivers are mounted in. Anyway getting off topic here sorry.

Of course the car stuff won't sound as good as it's the nature if the beast, being in the car, the speakers themselves are ok.

I should have just got a capristo exhaust and listen to that :p

Well so far I'm still enjoying driving a lot with the stereo off, listening to the car au naturale.

                          Gti v1 dynaudio

                          Hi Guys
Picked up my 2010 GTI on Friday arvo.Very Happy. Few Questions though
1/I opted for Dynaudio and apart from a plashscreen, when I start the car and the Dynaudio word on the Apillar tweeters, there's no othjer indication that the other 6 speakers are of the same brand.Have I been gipped?
2/Is it possible to get Sirius radio here in Aus?If so, how do you go about it.?
3/does the Rns 510 have the latest upgrade available-It told me of two roundabouts near home, which haven't been there for a couple of years.
                          Thanks Nardini

                            Congrats on the purchase.

Why wouldn't the other speakers be dynaudio? which speaker covers are meant to have the dyn logo etc? Probably just the A-pillars that have them?

Does it sound good? You could try listening to a stock one.

There are 4 dynaudio logos, one on each of my doors on the bottom speakers that indicate that my car is fully dynaudio equipped. But I have a Passat CC, not sure if they do the same thing for the Golf.
