Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Run both VW Nav & Waze/Google Maps at the same time

    Has anyone managed to get their Touareg to run both the VW Nav & Waze/Google Maps/Apple Maps at the same time?

    Ideally I want to have VW Nav on my drivers screen and heads up display. But then I want to have Waze also providing navigation via wireless CarPlay. Reason for this is I like the warnings for accidents, police, etc and providing new routes depending on traffic etc.

    As soon as the CarPlay navigation activates it deactivates the VW Nav on the drivers screen and HUD. And I really enjoy having the lane guidance, speed limits etc on the HUD and then would review Waze when alerted.

    I guess you're referring to the CR model (or maybe RC model)?

        Has been brought up in other Forums and no one has managed to do that I had lots of trouble just to get the Skoda map in my dashboard. There was discussion about it in the Tiguan forum but no success
