MIB2 screen upgrade options

Just got a MY16 R and it has the MIB2 system with the 6.5" screen.

Are the 8" or 9.2" screens for the 7.5's a direct swap or do I need to upgrade the guts of the system as well?

Have a look on VW Central (or get in touch with them - they sell the upgrade screens etc). I believe you can swap in the 8" screen without upgrading the MIB on a 2016 model, but I think the newer 9.2" screen requires the MIB to be updated. Dont quote me though - best speak to them and see what they say.
