Hi, does anyone know where I can get the latest map update for a RNS510 in Brisbane? Cheers, Stu.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

If you don't want to keep paying for your maps just upgrade your head unit to an RCD330 and use Apple CarPlay. Google / Apple maps are continuously updated for free. And the interface via your phone/Siri is 10x better than any car manufacturers clunky satnav system.

As much as I like the RNS510 (and still have one in my Golf), 95% of the time I use my phone and Waze. If I drove it more than the 2,000km a year I currently do I would be pulling that out and replacing it with a CarPlay Unit straight away.

V8 was the last $59 one so look around and see if anyone is still selling them or ask your dealer if they still have it to update your unit.
Like all GPS's they usually only supply maps for the "Life of the unit" which is at the most 7 years, like my Tomtom and Navmans.2021 Kamiq LE 110 , Moon White, BV cameras F & B
