2010 Tiguan Bluetooth problem

i just got 2010 Tiguan 4 motion diesel i think it is only s trim it has RCD 310 stereo shows BT and phone controls on steering wheel but no box (BT control module ?) under passenger seat ( or can module be elsewhere ) i think s model this is optional ? so my phone wont connect does anyone know what my options are to set up my phone can i get module ? also no phone option on MFD.

Unlikely to have BT fitted then. If you can get somebody to do a VCDS scan you should be able to confirm the presence (or not) of the BT module.

Luckily this is actually a blessing in disguise .... fit a RCD330+ (the Apple CarPlay/Android auto unit) and get BT built in plus the ability to use phone maps.
