              As you can see, 6D shows no fault codes in the Autoscan but shows an error as shown in first post.

              Also shows this in adaptions. I assume it should read active but i can't get it to accept the change.

                metulmykul: I'm not familiar with Superb Kombi cars, but just looking at your DTC information - isn't the descriptor "no basic setting" telling?

                This type of error message normally means that the control module has lost its initializing calibration - I assume that there must be some type of calibration process for telling the module when the tailgate is at either end of its travel. Have you checked in the Basic Setting screen for the 6D module for a calibration process?

                  Basic settings gives me...

                  IDE20176 Adapt flap opening angle and IDE20177 Adapt zero position for vehicle inclination

                  I've reset opening manually but not getting any joy.

                  Have just done autoscan via desktop and 6D is now showing fault code

                      Sorry I have been busy.

                      Please backprobe T4bu/2 (4 pin connector for the read lid unlock button e406) the wire colour is purple with a red tracer, please check the voltage on this wire when you're pressing the button and not pressing the button, when the button is not pressed it should be 5 or 12v, when button is pressed it should be 0v.

                      Please backprobe the 2 pin connectors @ both the control motors on each side of the boot, probe into both pins #2, ensure you have 5 or 12v. Once confirmed backprobe pin 1 of these same connectors and ensure you have 0v on both connectors.

                      I am also curious, does your MFD show your boot is open when it's open? Also does the luggage compartment light (if fitted) work?

                      If you check all these and get what I said you should get, you need to replace v473 and v474 (the tailgate motors) aka strut. Last I checked these were around $1k each for a Octavia (and a very common issue).

                              Rear Lid relearn

                              Prerequisites:

                              • Rear Lid closed
                              • Transport mode NOT active
                              • No rear lid obstructions or damage to the vehicle
                              • Park assist functions correctly, no errors (If equipped)
                              • DTC B2010- No Basic Setting stored
                              • Battery voltage at least 12.0V
                              • Vehicle is on a flat level surface



                              [Select]
                              [6D-Trunk Elect.]
                              [Basic Settings - 04]
                              Select Adapt flap opening angle from the drop-down menu.
                              [Go!]
                              The rear lid Basic Settings will now begin and the rear lid will open.
                              Finished Correctly (or similar) should be displayed.

                              • When the rear lid has stopped, close the rear lid using the E406 switch.

                              [Stop]
                              [Done, Go Back]

                              • Check for fault codes, clear if needed.
