Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Yes I have had this problem along with a number of other people with the same engine. I'm not sure why the problem only effects some cars but you run the same tune on another "identical" car and it will behave normally and then on some other specific cars it misbehaves.
Here's a comparison dyno of 2 tunes showing the issue:
It's like it has a massive flat spot around 2,500rpm and then after 3,000rpm takes off.
All I can say is work with your tuner to get it resolved and if they can't get resolve the issue in a reasonable time to your satisfaction then get them to flash it back to stock and refund you any money paid.
I have heard of this issue on a couple of Tiguans as well as some Mk6 GTI which run the same motor.Last edited by tigger73; 22-09-2017, 10:23 PM.
