Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Living in Port Macquarie is going to limit your choices. Custom-Code can tune that ECU. I have done plenty but don't have a bench lead for it so would need the be with the car to do it.

Malone Tuning in the states do remote tuning which might be an option.

Bluefin Superchips out of the UK will be the cheapest I'd guess.

Won't be the best, but will be good enough.

Get in contact with John for DNA Tuning.

I'm really happy with the DNA tune on my 1.9tdi.

I'm sure they do a couple of tunes for the 2.0 TDi.

        Prices was great too.

Melbourne, but I believe has a send and return system in place. Best contact him directly. I don't have his contact details but I'm sure you can Google him.

Hi. ECU reconfiguration (chip tuning) on a 2008 Volkswagen Golf GT Sport TDI is a great way to increase power and improve engine response. However, the “cheap” and “best” option rarely go together, so here are the main ways to consider. A ready-made firmware file from proven tuning shops for your engine. Self-tuning via OBD interface. Tuning boxes. Local tuning workshops. I can say that tuning a car is a fascinating thing, I would like to try to tuning my BMW too. I think this process will be similar to the games on the site I play here. It will be just as exciting and addictive!
              Thanks for the information!
