  • Cheapest option for full-size spare

We are heading off on a caravan trip through western QLD over easter with our Tiguan Allspace.

I'd rather not have to rely on the space saver if I get a puncture, so I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for a cheap, but full-size, spare ?

    Just for laughs I called...

  • Can I make an MK3.5 Octavia RS sound more like a GTI/R?

Got an RS245 and I have to drive with the soundaktor on because it's so quiet.

I like how the MK7.5 R (and GTI) sound from factory. It's not loud but not silent like the Octavia.

Wonder if you guys know the differences between the Octavia exhaust system over the equivalent...

  • T5 windows - advice

Obviously the sliding windows leak, although one is worse than the other. The retracting blind is rust discoloured now, so time to do something about it.

Have read that one option is to have the whole window replaced with an aftermarket sliding window. Has anyone done this? I'd be looking...

  • T4 help in Nowra

Hi everyone, poor old Gidget T4 diesel campervan has thrown the engine timing belt. I can't get anyone around here to even assess the damage let alone take on the repair. She is a member of the family so will be fixed. Anyone know of a repairer within a couple of 100 k's of the Illawarra who might help....

    Arteon Intercooler Recommendations?

I'm looking at intercooler upgrades for stage 2/3. Anyone have a recommendation?

Not sure what to look for apart from how much it drops the temperature and ?keeps? pressure I assume?

Will an intercooler upgrade help to make it respond/drive more like it does on a cool night...

    Golf R Mk 7.5 options

Hello to the Golf R owners. We own a 2018 Golf GTi and I am considering a Mk 7.5 Golf R for myself, and leaving the GTi as a second car for my wife (and kids and dog to continue to trash). I am thus very familiar with the brand but am finding it hard to “value” a 2nd hand R at the moment given...

    New Car Shopping

Today has been an interesting day. We have been considering replacing the Multivan for years but it just keeps going. Maintenance is starting to get up and it's starting to show its age around the edges. On one hand we could keep it and just keep driving it since we own it... but that comes with...

    v6 tuned or v8 rline

hi guys, aim looking at the v8 line but at this moment it may just be a bit out of my price line.
i have done a bit of research and was wondering if a tuned v6 that is producing 220 kw and 630 nm would be a great option when making a comparison between the v6 and the r line.
    i tow a van...

  • Re-paint brake calipers - suggestions and recommendations?

I need to re-paint my front brake calipers (which are stock red ones on a Golf GTI Mk6) because they're pretty scuffed and have a few chips

Does anyone have an opinion as to whether to re-paint without removing them (ie. masking etc to avoid overspray) and removing them entirely to...
