  • Golf R Haldex controller

    Hi Everyone,

I've been modding my Golf R for 2 years now and have just completed a season in the WA State Sprint championship. I'm looking for an edge next season to get in the top 3 and I've heard the Haldex controller upgrade is a worthwhile mod? I would welcome some feedback/comments from anyone running this mod. Also, how easy is it to install? Cheers in advance.

from what ive read it doesnt look too hard to install provided the car is on a hoist.
I'm looking at putting one in my T5 4motion. Ive found it for as cheap as $1250 landed with no controller, but i would assume you would want the controller so yau can set in the race mode, which will cost a little more.

I bought the race version (1 aggressive mode, no remote control option) for my R. Took 15 minutes to install with the car on ramps in my garage - 10 of which were trying to find the stock controller to replace.

Makes a big difference to the way the car drives - feels more RWD oriented from the minute you apply power, rather than being FWD until the wheels start to spin and power is sent to the back.

Lots of good feedback around on these Haldex units if you take the car to the track - probably less worthwhile for a road car. Quite a few people using them on Golf R's and Audi S3's on the other forum too.

Jump on the group buy and save a few bucks.
