If you come to the Euro meet you'll be able to talk with Ben (Tarmac) about the BPS tunes as he's helped in developing quite a lot of the Golf R stuff. You could probably contact him through his website: Home
Apart from that, I'll be picking up my new car tomorrow and hopefully putting it through BPS/Tarmac in the not too distant future.
Take the 2nd link with a grain of salt as the person signed up to the forum purely to advertise the BPS tune and has never returned since. But in saying that, there are a few GTI's and R's getting around Brisbane that have been tuned by BPS and are happy.

I have a bps tune on my R and its going good. I have had it on for nearly 1 and a half years and it dose not skip a beat. Been back once for a tune update and he managed to pull a bit extra power out of it and gave it a nice even feel. Over all I would say why not use bps.
I had the apr trial on my mk5 Gti and dumped it for a giac tune that I loved.
YAY I got my R!!!! White, recaro seats, 19" wheels, bluetooth, reverse camera
