Another update. After browsing through hundreds of threads and post I came across this. Stage 2 Hesitation Solved - VW GTI MKVI Forum / VW Golf R Forum / VW Golf MKVI Forum / VW GTI Forum - Golfmk6.com
I gapped it to about 10mm with some spare washers and so far fixed. The car is much smoother at low revs and i can't seem to make it hesitate like I could before. Don't know whether there is too much air flowing over the MAF or not enough, or maybe like the forum says I may have just but a bandaid on a hidden issue. Please let's not start an argument like the link above did, all I know is everything seems to be ok. Don't want to get rid of the air filter as data shows they are very good, maybe the bluefin just doesn't like it. I'm no expert by all means but perhaps their tune is designed for a stock car and with no after market intake. I don't even know whether you can get these intakes in the UK?
I will keep you posted with any more developments. The Evap System still fails the Readiness test though.
Ok, after I gapped the intake it was better but still not right. I have now had the stock air intake box and an old stock panel filter in for the past week. Car runs perfect, power is excellent right through the rev range, kicks in at 2500 rpm and pulls all the way to red line.
Don't know why the intake was causing the problem but it appears it was choking the car. Car is 100% better with the old sock box and filter. Perhaps the tune is designed for a stock car, or something.... Anyway very happy and pleased the sager is over with only $400 waisted on new parts and self diagnosing.....
Thanks for everyone's help and opinions, I am sure I will be back.
Bluefin engine remapping uses an ECU remap for your diesel or petrol engine and delivers better performance. Engine tuning with ECU chipping for diesel and petrol engines.
GBP225 by the looks of it. About AUD410ish at retail exchange rates
carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
But its more here if you want to maintain your Oz warranty which the reset wont do as they are controlled by different people. Given that the new price of a Bluefin is now a mere $649 here I wouldn't risk a few bucks on a twincharger for example.

Assuming you got it reset via the local dealer, wouldn't the warranty still apply.
PS: Local price is fantastic
