I have recently installed a dump pipe that bolted up to the standard cat back on my mk6 gti. About 3 weeks later I installed the custom cat back. I have a viezu tune.
The car was defiantly fast with just the ipe but with the custom cat back it sounds better!
Bw mke sure you use exhaust sealant even if the dump has v band clamps. Exhaust leaks are the worst.

what intake options are available? Apart from apr. it's nice but crazily expensive for a box.
On the MK6 the APR carbonio is not just a box, it's of carbon fibre contruction which in its own right is expensive to start off with.
Also it has an air filter in the "box". The Carbonio system also comes in two stages.

Lastly carbon fibre also reflects heat and it less likely for heat soak

What ever other Intakes you may look at, make sure the intake does not allow fuel trim to go over 10% or it will potentially be maxing out the injectors which can be a bad thing.
