in that case, i might as well keep the stock exhaust.
i avtually prefer no noise...just pure performance.
next question is... what size is stock gti piping size? do i need to get a dump pipe that fits?
If you replace the dump pipe and dont change the tune, you will get a CEL (check engine light) because the free flowing catalyic convertor will tell the ECU that something is wrong with the exhaust/emissions system.
So you should get a tune to accompany a dump pipe and the tune will code out the CEL.
i actually mean tmodifications to make it fit with stock catcback.
i dont wanna weld the exhaust...i want a dump pipe that is bolt fitted to the existing catback...

Sweet.
what intake options are available? Apart from apr. it's nice but crazily expensive for a box.
Suggest you do a bit of research as there's a few out there. Already quite a lot of threads on this topic. VWR, Forge, APR/Carbonio, Viezu are some of the more common ones but bound to be others too.
