  • Apparent Boost leak on Mkv gti. Anything unseen to think about ?

Hey everyone. I have a mkv gti , currently in the process of back and forth street tuning with Mr Gav of custom tune. Car is dead standard apart from a downpipe and frontal pcv fix ( inlet manifold plugged and front plate with a tube loop).

Can I note the car is not tuned yet , currently in testing phase. Uploaded a beginner map but no advance in timing.

Car is sluggish in most situations and occasionally logs the below. Once cleared it doesn't come back until a good amount of thrashing

16683/P0299/000665 - Boost Pressure Regulation: Control Range Not Reached.

I've checked the DV - it's a new revision D part. Installed correctly, there is a very slight oil weep from the inlet side of the standard intercooler but apart from that I can't find or hear anything else obvious.

Anything else I can have alook at while I install a S3 intercooler later this week ?
Is it possible that the frontal loop I have run is compressing or blocking under WOT ?

PS Gav @ customtune is a fantastic bloke and doing everything he can even though we currently are dealing with a long distance relationship ;0)

My guess is 3 things :

      Turbo is kaput
      Intake is blocked
      Cat is blocked
Bug_racer supports the rebellion of the euro revolution
