Looks like Im getting the wife a Golf 77TSI. I can never leave a turbo car stock so first up is a tune. I have seen several guys tuning them in europe but who has done a few 1.2 TSI cars here?

John from DNA Tuning can tune the 1.2 TSI and there are a few Polo owners on this forum that have had it done. See link below: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...lia-55245.html
Im running a DNA tune on my car and it goes well.
Otherwise, you might be able to get the ECU custom tuned by BPS in Brisbane. I know they do tunes for the GTI and R etc, but not sure if they can/have done the 1.2TSI.
Also, might be worth checking with Gavin from CustomCode. He is based in Brissy and might be able to tune the 1.2TSI ? -
I emailed John from DNA a while back prior to purchasing a 90TSI, he did confirm for me that there is a tune for the 77TSI.

If anyone has had this done, I'd be interested to hear how the tune affected the driveability of the car. At the moment, a 77TSI drives much like a diesel and I would hate to change that. And I hate turbo lag... so any real life experience reports would be awesome guys.

Ive driven several Skoda's with the 77TSI engine (my brother works for Skoda) so i know where your coming from. Although ive never driven a tuned 77TSI, if its anything like a GTI or my R, the tuning process actually improves low down response and slightly reduces the turbo lag.Originally posted by Perun View Post

couldn't recommend John from DNA Tuning enough... Had my 77TSI Polo tuned last year and the difference it made was remarkable Great service as well

I emailed John from DNA Tuning recently; Apparently they can't tune the 77TSI's made after around June 2011 (They use a different ECU that hasn't been cracked yet).
Does anybody know if there's another tune for these models?Comment
