If I had to guess I would say it's that little bit sticking out of the air pipe behind the oil cap, but then I really am guessing.
Thats one of the crankcase breather pipes. Not entirely sure because i cant see the entire engine but it may be running a MAP sensor intstead. Whats the engine code of your car? Tell me and ill be able to answer your question.
Ok. Its a map sensor that is also the air intake temp sensor and its located on the top of the intake manifold to the left of the oil filler neck.
Thanks for that FknDubbin. My question now is............if i were to replace my air filter with a K&N short ram system, would i have all those 'oil' related problems seeing as I have a MAP rather than a MAF?
You shouldnt. Dont oil the filter too much. Thats never good for any type of sensor. The MAP sensor will just measure manifold pressure. Theres no metered air passing through any wires to foul it up.
