Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Google reckoned there was one in Toowoomba, Revo | Dealer Search, plenty of options other than APR in Brisbane. Custom-Code from me for one.

According to the Revo website the closest dealer is in Toowoomba
      Revo | Dealer Search

Have you considered other tunes ?
      MK4 GTI - Sold
      MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
      MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.

hmm yea....dunno if i can be bothered going to toowoomba

to be honest, i dont care what tune, aslong as its compatible with a supersrpint downpipe with no error codes and the gains are similar/more then apr

        any ideas?

Custom Code or Viezu would be the best option if you aren't going for APR.

I can second this, Greg is a top bloke.

You would be wise to go with either Gavin or Greg for your upgrade path.
And they are both on the forums

viezu, apr, bluefin, custom code, revo, custom tune (BPS)... everyone has a different opinion on different tunes. after seeing the results around i thin k my next tune would be a custom tune, everything seems to be so smooth.

your call in the end though, so it depends on what end game you have for the car.

To be honest, it comes down to personal preference.

I love the viezu tune I have to bits. It's just smooth, linear and fast as hell. Others swear by other brands. Talk to people, see who gives you the best feeling in terms of service and ability.

Greg is the Viezu dealer in Brisbane and is pretty passionate about things. One thing I like from my incremental modding perspective is there is no cost to amend the map as you make changes - no matter what brand of part you buy or where you buy it from.

Plus, most of the options around that have been listed provide better bang for you buck.
