Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Given you can get two Eurojet systems for the cost of one APR, you'd have a backup on hand Tim.Last edited by Greg Roles; 06-03-2012, 12:12 PM.2014 Skoda Yeti TDI Outdoor 4x4 | Audi Q3 CFGC repower | Darkside tune and Race Cams | Darkside dump pDPF | Wagner Comp IC | Snow Water Meth | Bilstein B6 H&R springs | Rays Homura 2x7 18 x 8" 255 Potenza Sports | Golf R subframe | Superpro sways and bushings | 034 engine mounts | MK6 GTI brakes |

Not cheap but if you want the best check this out:
VW Golf GTi (VI) Akrapovic Slip-On exhaust system | EVL Motorsports
I've got an Evolution kit on my Clio and just can't get enough of that sound! Worth every penny if you ask me.

Ive just installed the Milltek Catback 2.75" Resonated. Its hooked up to my Eurojet DP. Started the engine for the first time and it was so quiet I thought the engine wasnt running. In fact its quieter than stock. My engine is louder.
I only hope over time it gets louder, I was hoping to get the low burbly sound.[Current] Audi A4 B8 MY2013 2.0T Quattro - Lava Grey, Black Edition, S-Line, 19" TT-RS Wheels

An expensive lesson. I wanted a bit more noise from the GTI but didn't have a large budget. After some research, I decided on a muffler delete.
Got it installed today, sounded nice on idle, nice 4 inch tips. 20 minutes after, I am back at the shop getting my stock suitcase fitted back. So advice, even though it sounds decent on YouTube, doesn't mean it actually is. It was too boomy, drone was actually ok, but it just sounded louder inside, I discovered some rattles I haven't heard before. No nice note, just noise. From the outside it actually sounded good, but inside, I couldn't put up with it for longer than 30 mins. Boomy, and un-GTI like, it was embarrassing driving it haha.
Either just going to do downpipe with stage 2 or keep it where it is.Current: '11 Renault Megane RS 250 Cup Trophee - Manual - All Options - Stage 1 Bluefin

The other thing i see getting donw is the middle resonator delete which keeps a more silent note but gets pretty loud under WOT.

I'm surprised that not many people around report having gone and organised a Custom Exhaust setup. My experience with my previous cars is that they often workout cheaper than off the shelf systems. Especially if you look at using Mild Steel for the pipe sections. Most of us won't own the car long enough to ever see a Mild Steel system fall apart, and it the rear muffler and tips are SS it'll be pretty hard to tell you've got Mild steel.BLACK MAGIC PIRELLI: RNS-510 | B/T & MDI | EIBACH | APR | EUROSPORT | DNA TUNED
