Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Peak Performance - Parramatta?

At the motor show today I saw a sign up for Revo chips and was having a chat to the guy to see if there was anyone in Sydney that did them since I have a 96 which I believe is a soldered chip.

    Web site here:

They seem to have a few bits and pieces for VW's so it will be interesting to have a chat to them and see what they can offer/recommend.

Anyone used them? (or have any alternative performance places in Sydney that would be worth talking to) For the moment I'm just scouting the territory for performance parts, suspension being next on the list.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

From what I heard PPP are specialist in BMW/Merc, they may also do VW as well but I'd go for real VAG specialist rather than mixed Euro expert
You probably already have noticed in the forum, European Autotech (Mona Vale) and EuroAutomative (Girrawen) are reputable VAG performance tuning guys

If you don't try, you don't know.

No harm in giving them a call, especially for the Militek stuff.

Nice work. Maybe not nice results, but nice work to get an answer.

REVO is only software, you (and i) need an APR or Oettinger chip. It’s soldered in to the CPU.
