Paul did a custom tune on my 06 XT (the first he did) not long after I got it
I know he has done a few GTIs
With his extensive background at MRT and in the international racing scene, he certainly has the skills
I am not interested in tuning my R but he may be a useful contact
A really nice guy as wellGolf R - 77TSI engine transplant, 91ron tune, & a crochet rug on the parcel shelf

US older watercoolered boys, call this "COREYED".......

Additionally... you could hardly claim they have slick marketing. Their lack of marketting, or even keeping their website up to date, is one of my complaints about them! I mean... how long ago did the MK6 Golf come out? Update your site *cough*
Anyway. I know the custom tuners are lifting their game. People like Mark (parso_rex) from Recode and John from DNA Tuning are doing good work, especially Mark with the R's.
And btw... the wheel alightment/camber/caster discussion had already taken place once or twice. Guy_H, WhiteJames, and a few other poeple with R's taked about it on one occassion that I can recall. Maybe people are just tired of having to answer the same questions to people who start several threads rather than using the search?
In any case. The R comes setup pretty well from stock for road purposes, and beyond that, it doesn't have the means to adjust camber and caster with the stock components. You need to swap to aftermarket parts to do so...

For Sydney people, another fellow to look out for if he started tuning VW's would be Michael South who's located on the central coast. He's just moved into a new workshop after some years working out of his backyard shedGolf R - 77TSI engine transplant, 91ron tune, & a crochet rug on the parcel shelf
