5 seconds flat for a stock DSG GTI with only an APR stage 1 tune? So it improves the stated stock launch by almost 2 seconds??

Not bad at all for a FWD, considering Fab_R just recently did a 4.37 in his R.

Both? I'm really fat as well so I guess it might slow the car down heaps.

    Hey Ryan,

I'm Brisbane based, best to ring Dean (Volkspower) to find out when he is closing this year 03 9808 6777

Got my car after the 15k service this afternoon - car has it's mojo back, and then some. I might've even said to myself that I don't really need the APR for now (not that that will stop me).

Only thing is I forgot to ask about the horn not working w/o ignition. I've not even tried it on my car still.

btw Guy - not sure if you work at the same place as Dean (Volkspower)... if yes - when do you guys close shop for the holidays so I can visit before then?

Thats spot on, the "richness" is the component protection maps, as we mentioned in the other thread, keeps those EGT's in check!

Stuck my GTI up on a Dyno a couple of weeks ago and, allowing for driveline losses the figures seem pretty close to APRs claims. I was however surprised by how rich the tune is at the top end.

two different ECU's (Golf GTI 6 vs Golf R) MED17 vs ME9 so maybe that's the difference. Jason, check your counter in VCDS in the "advanced ID" section in the engine module.

    Anyone can confirm this?
